We all love designing, there’s a reason we got into this industry after all – so sometimes a beautiful project reaching its end is reward enough. But, an interior designer’s gotta eat (and maybe buy a fancy throw pillow or two), so inevitably we have to send that invoice, and make sure that money reaches our bank account.
And sometimes, that can be the most awkward, painful, least favorite thing we do in the day.
Believe us, we get it. That’s why we’ve made payments within Mydoma address all those issues, and help ensure that you get paid faster and more easily – so you can get back to what you actually love about the business. But why is processing your payments through Mydoma so great?
Nothing helps get you paid quicker than when it’s easy and convenient for your client. Instead of having to write you a check, mail it, or have you come by for it, you can send them a notification from the studio, they can just log into your client portal, click the invoice, and pay it directly right then and there.
Wherever they might be, be it their home, the office, or, even on vacation, with a few clicks from their laptop or mobile phone they can pay any outstanding invoices with credit card or ACH transfer.
It also means you’re not keeping client cards on file yourself to process payments on their behalf. While this may not seem like a big deal, it’s actually a pretty big liability because you are responsible for that information. What if someone steals this info from your device? Or, if you’re carrying it around in a binder, what if you were to misplace it?
We’re fully integrated with Stripe – so you don’t have to worry about payment security, or confidentiality!
No one likes to chase clients for payments, it’s an awkward conversation that we’re sure you hate. Plus, it just takes time out of your day when you can be doing something else. You can let us take it on, and set up a payment schedule in your studio for your clients, and, if there’s an invoice outstanding, quickly and easily send them a notification that saves you that awkward conversation, and gets them into the studio to pay it. You can also export these invoices to something like QuickBooks so your bookkeeper can close your books.
Then reach out to us in the chat bubble in your studio and we can point you in the right direction, or if you put in your info below, we’ll send you our Getting Started with Payments guide, which has step-by-step instructions on how to get up and running, and start accepting payments in Mydoma. And of course, if you need any extra help, don’t be afraid to reach out to us by email, or, the chat bubble in your studio!
